My Story

Carlota Peña Jimenez is a London-based actress, writer, and producer working across character-driven storytelling in film.

Born in Madrid and raised in Portugal, she grew up in a multilingual environment, becoming fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese from an early age. Coming from a large family, she developed a strong instinct for observing and understanding people, an ability that naturally led her toward acting and continues to inform her approach to character work.

Trained at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, as well as MetFilm School in London, her work is grounded in emotional depth and a strong connection to narrative. She has performed in a range of short films spanning period drama, fantasy thriller, sci-fi, psychological drama, and horror, often drawn to roles that explore complex inner worlds and transformation.

Her recent work includes the award-winning short film Astral Journey, alongside a horror short selected for Best Horror Short at the London Independent Film Festival and recognised at other international festivals.

Alongside acting, Carlota develops and produces her own projects. She is currently developing a psychological fantasy thriller short and a fantasy feature film, both set to shoot in London.

With a lifelong background in sport, particularly influenced by a family of tennis players—she brings a strong sense of discipline and focus to her work, shaping the way she approaches both performance and storytelling.
